Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt like your body just got a little healthier just being there? That’s Honest Greens for me. It’s kind of like if Sweet Greens in LA went abroad, got a little more chill, studied abroad in Europe, and came back with better taste in music and interior design.
I stumbled into Honest Greens on a random weekday when my friend and I hungry, and slightly over-caffeinated. And I’ve been hooked ever since. Earthy atmosphere, millennial-friendly, and full of twenty-and-thirty-somethings typing away like they’re all one iced matcha away from launching a start-up. In other words: my people.
Let’s talk vibes. The music? Always a vibe, and not in the fake playlist-that-feels-like-a-coffee-commercial kind of way. We’re talking real mood-lifting, toe-tapping, I-might-open-Shazam-on-the-low kind of music. Add in the soft lighting, natural tones, and the fact that you can eavesdrop on at least five different languages being spoken at once, and suddenly it feels like your new favorite co-working spot that just happens to have 5-star healthy food.
Also, Honest Beans. Yep, they’ve got a whole little coffee operation going inside. It’s a side hustle to their main hustle. And you know I love a good side hustle. Plus, free WiFi. Which makes it the perfect spot for digital nomads, bloggers (hi), or anyone pretending to answer emails while actually people-watching.
Now onto the actual food. First of all, everything’s healthy, but not in that “sad desk lunch” kind of way. Like, the dishes are beautiful. And colorful. And somehow make you feel like you’ve got your life together, even if you haven’t done laundry in a week.
My go-to order? Ben’s sweet potato fries to start (because balance, okay?) and the lemon mustard chicken. That combo never misses. It’s flavorful, filling, and you can eat it without feeling like you need a nap afterward. And if you’re over water (because let’s be honest, sometimes water is just…boring), grab one of their juices. They’ve got all sorts of blends with herbs and vitamins that make you feel like you’re doing something good for your body without having to say the word “cleanse.”
Honest Greens is the kind of place where you can show up in your comfiest outfit, order something that makes your insides happy, stay a little longer than you planned, and maybe even knock out a few emails, or a full blog post (ahem).
So yeah, if you’re looking for a place that feeds your body, your productivity, and your Instagram aesthetic? Honest Greens is it. Just don’t blame me when you accidentally spend half your day there.
Chefs kiss,
