Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt like your body got a little healthier just by being there? That’s exactly how I feel every time I walk into Honest Greens. The best way I can describe it is like if Sweetgreen in LA packed up, studied abroad in Europe for a while, and came back with much better taste in music and interior design.
The first time I went to Honest Greens was, honestly, by accident. My friend and I were wandering around on a random weekday, starving, and decided to pop in. That was it. I’ve been hooked ever since. The place has this earthy, relaxed atmosphere that feels very millennial-friendly. It’s always full of twenty- and thirty-somethings typing away on laptops like they’re one iced matcha away from launching a start-up. In other words, my kind of crowd. And the vibes? Immaculate.
The music is always good, and I don’t mean the kind of playlist that sounds like it was made for a coffee commercial. I mean the kind where you catch yourself thinking, wait…what song is this? and quietly opening Shazam. Add in the soft lighting, the natural tones, and the fact that you’ll hear at least five different languages being spoken around you, and suddenly it feels like your new favorite co-working spot, that just happens to serve really good food.
They also have Honest Beans, which is their little coffee setup inside the restaurant. It’s basically a side hustle within the main hustle, and you already know I love a good side hustle. Plus, they’ve got free WiFi, which makes it the perfect place for digital nomads, bloggers (hi), or anyone pretending to answer emails while secretly people-watching. Now let’s talk about the food!
Everything is healthy, but not in that sad, depressing “desk salad” kind of way. The dishes are colorful, fresh, and honestly kind of beautiful. My go-to order is Ben’s sweet potato fries to start (because balance, obviously) and the lemon mustard chicken. That combo never disappoints. It’s flavorful, filling, and you can actually finish your meal without feeling like you need to go lie down afterward.
And if you’re tired of drinking plain water (because sometimes water is just…boring), grab one of their juices. They have all sorts of blends with herbs and vitamins that make you feel like you’re doing something good for your body without having to say the word “cleanse.”
I also tried the Latin Lover recently, and I might actually like it even more now. But honestly, the menu has so many good options that it’s one of those places where you end up with multiple favorites. At some point, you realize the entire menu might just be your favorite.
What I love most about Honest Greens is that it’s the kind of place where you can show up in your best outfit, order something that makes your body happy, stay way longer than you planned, and maybe even knock out a few emails or an entire blog post.
So if you’re looking for a spot that feeds your body, your productivity, and your Instagram aesthetic all at the same time, Honest Greens is definitely it. Just don’t blame me when you accidentally spend half your day there.
Chef’s kiss,
American Girl Meets World
