Andalucía (Andalusia)

Basics: Southernmost and one of the most populated regions. Sun, flamenco, white villages, and big emotions. Known for Sevilla, Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba. This is Spain turned all the way up. Moorish history, late nights, slow mornings, and people who actually know how to live.

Since you’re surrounded by water, getting to the mainland isn’t the quickest or cheapest thing, so it can feel a little limiting at times. And because vacation homes and Airbnbs have taken over, the cost of living has jumped. It’s doable, just make sure you’ve got a solid budget or a little cushion saved up before you go.

Languages: Spanish + Catalan variants (Mallorquín, Menorquín, Ibicenco)
